And for me, that means a slight freak out, but in a good way.
I'm off to New Zealand for 8 days with my best friend, a former Kiwi native. We are going to stay with her Mum, which will be strange in the sense that I've only met her mum once and I feel like a schoolgirl staying at a friends house. I'll have to watch my P's & Q's and remember to be on my best behavior. We are flying in to Auckland then driving to Whangarei. I'm really looking forward to it as my last O/S trip was way back in 1992. This will also be my first holiday without the bloke and the kids. It's a busy time of year with lots of school activities but I know the bloke will be able to handle it. I'm just hoping his business doesn't suffer to much- I'm sure the phone will be glued to his ear the whole time I'm away. My Mum is on standby to look after the girls if need be.
I'm trying to get organised for Christmas before I go away but I'm not having much luck with presents. At this rate, I'll either buy up big in NZ and have to pay for the extra luggage or else do a mad runaround 2 weeks before Christmas. I'm going to try and make a few gifts, I just need to get my materials sorted. Christmas has come around way too soon again this year and it's hard to get in to the festive spirit when your clambering around trying to get everything done.
